Now that we have touched on all of the aspects on making the perfect open house, the final part is making sure that you advertise your open house. Ensuring that you get the word out there about your open house is something that is not going to be easy – people are resistant to open houses and they do not think that they are going to do anything to sway their decision. To me? I would love to see the inside of the house before I buy it, but some people do not feel the same.

You truly need to make sure that you are using all of your resources to get the word out there about your open house, which includes newspaper, online and even a newsletter out to any prospective buyers that might be looking for a house just like the one that you are having an open house for!

Having an open house is something that is going to be difficult, but I can promise you that it is going to be worth it in the end – you will sell the house and people will appreciate the fact that you had an open house!

Throwing an open house is hard – not only because you have to be the host for this event and make sure that it goes well, but as you can see, there is a hell of a lot of work that goes into it as well. Now that we have touched base on the curb appeal and landscaping aspect of throwing an open house, it is now time for us to talk about the paint color for the home. To be perfectly honest, this is going to be something that you truly need to think about.

Most of the time, whether it is exterior or interior, you always want to make sure that you find a color that is going to appeal to prospective buyers. The paint color and condition of the paint is something that prospective buyers are going to notice right away, so you want to make sure that it is going to look right.

If the home you are selling has things like shutters, you need to make sure that you find a really good color palate for that house, to make it look really appealing to everyone!

When you are dealing with a low-inventory but a very high demand area, it is pretty obvious that your open house is going to be a hot one. Think about a brand new restaurant that just opened in a high traffic area and people are lined up out the door just to sample everything that this particular restaurant has to offer. Your open house is going to be something like that – especially if you make it that way.

One great tactic to ensure that everyone will want to be at your open house is only show it to people one at a time. This will ensure that people will not only want to come, but to be honest, they will come in greater numbers too just to see if they can get in – people like what they can not have or what they have to wait to see, so that is the key here.

Having an open house is not easy, but it is something that you need to do if you want to be successful. In the next blog, we are going to talk about curb appeal and how that can help your open house!

An open house is a fantastic way for prospects to come and see a house that they may be interested in buying so they can truly get a feel for the house itself. That is why it is so important for you to have an open house – you want to make sure that you really make the house shine and look fantastic.

In the next blog, we are going to explore how you should approach your open house in a high-demand but low-inventory area!
