Now that we have explored a heck of a lot of steps for you to find the perfect and safe neighborhood – the last thing that you need to do is explore the neighborhood. That is really one of the only ways that you are going to truly know if you are going to fit into the neighborhood and if you are going to like it. Those are important too – fitting in and liking it because really … who would want to fit into their neighborhood.

When you are touring, do not go alone. Always make sure that the person that you are going to live with goes with you and maybe even your real estate agent – for they will be able to point things out to you. You also want to make sure that you look for certain things.

For example, children walking with their parents or playing is always a really good sign, for it means that the neighborhood is really safe.

After you have talked to a few different real estate agents, it is now time to go ahead and contact some of the locals within the neighborhood. This is something that will really; really help you in the long run.

One thing that I found is that hotels are REALLY open to their opinions and the front desk people are super knowledgeable about what is safe and what isn’t – in their opinion.

That is one thing to remember if you are asking someone about the security of a neighborhood, it is all going to be based off of their opinion, so keep that in mind. In the next blog, we are going to talk about touring the neighborhood yourself – stay tuned!

Now that you have researched the neighborhood a little bit, it is now time to go ahead and touch base with a real estate agent. They are definitely someone that will help you out in the long run. They can truly keep track of all of your needs and aim you in the right direction of a safe and secure neighborhood – you have to trust them.

That is the biggest problem that I am having, is finding a real estate agent that I can trust to lead me in the right direction. Do you want to know what I did? Well, I contacted a few different real estate agents to see where they all pointed me and they all pointed me in the same direction.

If that happens, you know you have some really good real estate agents that are keeping your needs and safety in mind.

When you are moving, it is a very stressful time. I know that I am in the process of moving right now and the biggest challenge that I am having is finding a neighborhood that is safe for both me and my spouse. Do you find that you are not familiar with the city that you are moving and therefore you are having problems with finding the right neighborhood for you?

Well, there are some things that you can do to ensure that you find a super safe and secure neighborhood that suits all of your needs and that is what we are going to talk about in the next few blogs.

One of the first things that you need to do is decide on a few different neighborhoods that are right around the place that you need to move. Make sure that you do not settle on just one neighborhood – incase it is a bad area. More in the next blog!

For example, appearing on a local radio station or even on a location TV talk show is a fantastic way that you can get your name out there and ensure that people know who you are – after all, that is the entire point of being in the real estate market.

Advertising and selling yourself is something that many real estate agents have a hard time doing in the beginning, however that is something that you have to do in order to gain prospects, you truly have to ensure that people know who you are. Talking to everyone and anyone and truly making connections is what real estate is all about.

So make sure that you get yourself out there and I can promise that you will gain all sorts of different prospects!

Now that we have talked about blogging, we should probably touch on the budgeting part of your marketing. While the internet is something that seems free, there are actually a lot of marketing things that are not free on the internet – and that is where you need to make sure that you are consistent with your budget.

After all, if you have a specific budget set aside just for marketing, you certainly do not want to spend it all on the internet marketing ploy, as you want to spread your marketing out. However, giving yourself a little extra for the internet I can assure you will pay off.

The one thing that you need to realize, is that marketing is all about where you put your money and to be quite frank, you certainly want to make sure that you spread it around a bit. The internet is a place that is full of things for free and utilizing that marketing channel is a great way to get your name out there and save on some cash!

Now that we have talked about the internet as a whole being used as a channel for your marketing – the next thing you are going to have to learn about is blogging. To be perfectly honest, blogging about the homes that you are selling is a great way for not only prospects to read about the houses that you represent, but it can be very interactive for them as well.

For example, let’s say that you set up a beautiful blog for the houses that you represent and one prospect has a few questions. They can actually leave a comment on that particular post and you can answer those questions at your leisure, which is exactly what blogging is all about!

However, it is very important that your blog be professional and that you are professional in the way that you write, that is something that many – many real estate agents need to work on, their grammar and overall flow of sentences. You want it interesting and attention-grabbing, remember that.
